If you do consume any of the beverages listed above within 24 hours, it’s a good idea is to use a straw as it will help prevent the liquid from contacting your teeth. Please note that you may experience some sensitivity from hot and cold drinks immediately following your treatment.
‘RELIEF ACP’ ORAL CARE GEL
As part of your in-chair whitening treatment, we have provided you with a relief gel should you experience any sensitivity post- treatment. The gel is applied to the affected teeth to reduce sensitivity in response to heat, cold, sweets, acids, or touch. The ACP relief gel works by rebuilds enamel by creating a new coating of hydroxyapatite over the original tooth surface.
Instructions for the ACP Gel:
- Use Relief ACP twice a day on the affected teeth until symptoms are relieved, or as directed by your dental professional.
- Apply a pea-sized amount of gel to your index finger and rub the gel on to sensitive teeth, sweeping from gum line where most tooth sensitivity occurs. Do not rinse mouth or spit for approximately 3 minutes. After 3 minutes, any excess gel should be spat out.
- For best results do not drink or eat for 30 minutes after application of the gel.
WHITENING MAINTENANCE
- Ensure you have a good oral hygiene routine that includes flossing daily and brushing twice daily, ideally with an automated (soft bristled) toothbrush.
- Have regular professional dental checkup and clean to maintain your oral health. A professional clean will help keep staining to a minimum.
